Shibuya Scramble Square

The Shibuya Scramble Crossing is the world’s busiest intersection. Experiencing the organized chaos of thousands of people crossing at once is a unique Tokyo experience. The air is filled with the smoky aroma of yakitori being grilled, as tiny eateries serve up skewers alongside hearty bowls of ramen and sake.

Rows of colorful sake barrels, or kazaridaru. Each barrel represents offerings from sake brewers across Japan.

Ema are small wooden plaques where visitors inscribe their prayers and wishes. This age-old tradition allows people to connect with Shinto deities, seeking blessings for health, happiness, and success.
